Computerized Office Technician

Description

This course is intended for those who require instruction in the principles of record keeping and documentation for Construction projects.  Passing this course will fulfill the requirements for office technician training needed for the engineer certification program as outlined in the Construction Manual. (Not passing the exam will require the full course to be retaken). Registration is limited to one person per firm per course.

For Computerized Office Technician (COT) 3-Day Course attendees: 1) Read, adhere to and complete the MDOT OOD Office Tech and Recertification Cancellation Policy; and 2) Submit this document, via email, to MDOT-TechTraining@Michigan.gov.  Put “Technical Training” in the Subject line.

Required Manual and Equipment: The MDOT 2020 Spec book, a laptop with laptop power cord, and a calculator will be required for use. MDOT 2020 Standard Specifications for Construction [WEB]-linked (michigan.gov)

Lunch will be provided daily.

No refunds will be issued if cancellation is within 2 weeks of the course, but registrations are transferable at any time.
