The 2026 Lansing Construction Science Expo is set to return on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at the Impression 5 Science Center in downtown Lansing. This annual event provides an exciting, hands-on opportunity to introduce middle school students to rewarding careers in architecture, engineering, surveying, and skilled trades.

Each year, the Expo brings together more than 60 industry partners, including engineering firms, construction companies, educational institutions, and public agencies, to showcase the many facets of the built environment through interactive exhibits and engaging demonstrations.

More than 400 middle school students from across the region are expected to attend this year's event, where they will have the opportunity to:

• Participate in hands-on activity stations that explore design, construction, surveying, and infrastructure.
• Interact directly with industry professionals who share their career journeys and insights.
• Gain early exposure to high-demand fields essential to Michigan's economy and future development.

The Lansing Construction Science Expo is a collaborative workforce development initiative that aims to spark curiosity, build awareness, and plant the seeds for the next generation of engineers, architects, and construction professionals. By creating memorable experiences that highlight the real-world impact of these careers, the Expo helps inspire students to consider pathways they might not have otherwise imagined.
