Save Our Jobs and Fund Our Roads Rally

Save Our Jobs and Fund Our Roads Rally

Wednesday, September 3, 2025 (10:00 AM - 11:30 AM) (EDT)

Description

Why This Rally Matters

The stakes could not be higher. Michigan’s transportation funding crisis is at a tipping point, and we are closer to a solution than ever before. The rally is designed to send a powerful, united message to the Governor and Legislature: Michigan needs a long-term, sustainable road funding solution—NOW.

The legislative process has been long and challenging, but the September 3 rally is our best opportunity to demonstrate seriousness and urgency. If we show up in force, legislators will have no doubt about the gravity of the situation. But if turnout is weak, the message could be devastating to our efforts. We need thousands—not hundreds—of those in the transportation industry on the Capitol lawn. This is a market-wide issue that affects us all; failure to act will devastate jobs and businesses across Michigan.

We know attending the rally may have a business impact on our member firms. Participation could affect the ability to continue work on current projects or the development of future ones. Still, the reality is clear: one day of disruption pales in comparison to the long-term losses we face without a funding solution.

This is our moment. We must demonstrate that the industry stands united, ready for solutions, and committed to ensuring Michigan’s infrastructure is properly funded. The message we must send is simple and urgent: “Save Our Jobs” and “Fund Our Roads!”

Support Our Advocacy Efforts

Our ability to influence lawmakers and secure sustainable funding for Michigan’s infrastructure also depends on strong, sustained advocacy at both the state and federal levels.

  • ACEC/Michigan PAC supports pro-business, pro-infrastructure candidates in Lansing who understand the critical role engineers play in Michigan’s economy and public safety.
  • ACEC/PAC (National PAC) amplifies our industry’s voice in Washington, D.C., ensuring federal policymakers support infrastructure investment and policies that benefit our firms and communities.
