ACEC/MICHIGAN ELECTS NEW PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Lansing, Michigan – The American Council of Engineering Companies of Michigan (ACEC/Michigan) has announced Barbara Arens, PE, PTOE, from Cincar Consulting Group, as its 2025-2026 President.
Barb has been active in numerous organizations, having served on ACEC/Michigan’s board of directors the past five years, before becoming the 2025-2026 President. She has served in leadership positions for WTS for over the past 20 years and as an appointed member of the Mackinac Bridge Authority.
Barb truly believes in advocacy and education to foster a collaborative environment with member firms and our industry partners to secure sustainable and reliable infrastructure funding for our state along with Ron Brenke (ACEC/Michigan Executive Director) and the rest of ACEC/Michigan.
A graduate of Michigan State University for both her Bachelors and Masters in Civil Engineering (transportation concentration), she is a resident of Bloomfield Township, Michigan. She and her husband, Marc, have raised two children through both MSU and UM, and have long supported several volunteer groups through their children’s sports and activities over the years.
